but isn't hankisa problematic?

short answer: no!
long answer: it isn't. the age gap between them that a lot of people like stretching to 3-4 years to make it look problematic is two years and three months. hankisa antis often try comparing them to mitsuran or kakuiza, two ships where one of them is a younger teenager and the other one is an adult. that is not the case with hankisa, as they are both teenagers and minors. in most societies this is a perfectly accepted gap! they met when they were 13 and 15, hanma turns 16 four days before bloody halloween and kisaki turns 14 a month before the kantou incident.

what is hankisa? it's a fictional pairing between Hanma Shuji and Kisaki Tetta from Tokyo Revengers, a delinquent manga by Ken Wakui. they are the main antagonists and work together since the very beginning.

canon: they slowly grow to trust each other as they work together. hanma follows kisaki for a reason we don't know yet, but he states multiple times that kisaki is the only person who makes his life interesting, "brings colors into it". the one time kisaki geniuenly smiles is when he's with hanma. the way hanma reacts to his death shows that he was very important to him. they are also canonly seen celebrating new year's eve together and they're watching a movie together in an official sketch.
